‘Glosing the Gap for Vision’
Professor Hugh Taylor AC
Harold Mitchell Professor of Indigenous Eye Health at the University of Melbourne

Aboriginal children start life with much better vision than mainstream children, but by the age of 40 and above adults have three times more blindness and vision loss. There are many gaps in the system of care that need to be addressed and the Roadmap to Close the Gap for Vision is leading to a number of significant gains. Our aim is to close this gap by 2020.
